   Tez is built on top of UPI interface, which is used by over 50 Indian banks. This means when you make a transaction from Tezmoney is moved from one bank account to other. You only connect tez to a bank account. You don't have to store money in it.

5. Tez comes with a special Cash Mode. "Indians love cash. One of the most powerful aspects of cash is that it enables you to pay others without exchanging sensitive personal information. Cash Mode enables just that by letting you pay another Tez user nearby without having to share personal details like your bank account or phone number," says Caesar Sengupta, a senior Google executive who introduced Tez on Monday. To make these transactions happen Google uses proprietary AQR (Audio QR) technology, which is similar to QR codes but more convenient and more secure. "This is ideal for paying the auto-wallah or sabzi-wallah. Bring two phones near each other, hit pay or request, enter your UPI PIN and the payment goes instantly from one bank account to another," says Sengupta.

8. Tez supports several Indian languages. "With language support for English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu, sending money is easy to understand," says Google.

11. Tez uses your phone's PIN ID or fingerprint sensor for security. Or you can also use Google PIN to secure it.

14. Google says that Tez comes with TezShield. "The Tez Shield works 24/7 to help detect fraud, prevent hacking, and verify your identity. Each transaction is secured with your UPI PIN and the app is secured with a Google PIN or your screen lock method such as fingerprint," says company. It also notes that in case something goes wrong, consumers will be able to reach out to the phone customer support almost immediately.

17. Tez is available for both the iPhones and the Android phones. It can be downloaded from the app stores managed by Google and Android. Almost all recent versions of Android, including Android Lollipop, are supported.

20. Currently Tez is supported by Red Bus, PVR, Dish TV, Domino's and Jet Airways. Of course, because it uses UPI, you can transfer money to almost anyone who has a bank account using Tez.

27. For business, Google is offering some additional support. Not only business can accept Tez payments, they can also start their own Tez channels. "Your channel is your space. Tailor offers and enable actions that are unique to your business. Now you can reach more customers without having to drive app installs," Google tells business owners.
