I bought this to get back to reading books. It's not a perfect replacement for a physical book but the convenience is hard to pass up on. Extremely easy on the eyes, you could read for hours without encountering any strain. If you're an avid reader then the battery life will leave you wanting. If you do have extra money to spare and you know you'll be spending a lot of time on the device then do go for the paperwhite model. The increase in screen clarity is well worth it.The lights get focused on the screen at a downward angle on the paperwhite so you won't encounter much strain. the basic e-reader is pain to read in low light.
Good a nice replacement for books while travelling.would have been better if the battery life lasted longer.
